Arkuss Neflari himself hated these kind of situations though he had gotten rather good at finding little places to watch from sometimes even when denied a place at the entrance or edge of the sands. Being stuck away from the sands he had decided to wear one of his old silks, the purple and pink set that resembled a style of harem outfit though rather more sheer and seeming to hang delicately from his frame but practical enough not to hinder his duties. He glances at the pacing songbird, having found out she rarely was denied the chance to watch and her reaction was quite normal. Seeing her come over he turns a bit to the wren, a paw reaching up and brushing a couple fingers against her cheek, a look in his eyes would show how much of his composure was little more than practice and focus. He speaks softly enough that only she would really be able to hear clearly. "I do not like it either, Xian." He sighs a little, looking back out towards the tunnel. "It is frightening for me now, not knowing what condition shi may return in or if shi will return at all. I have to be ready to help though, whatever the result may be. Don't let my appearance fool you...this is merely a facade. I promised once after...that fight...I would not disgrace hir again in public view and mean to keep it." Arkuss
